Billing and workspaces
One workspace and one plan per account. How the trial, plans, event tiers, AI credits and the Polar customer portal work.
Each Realific account has one workspace, and it holds all your websites: 1 on Starter, up to 30 on Growth. The workspace has:
- one plan (Starter or Growth) and billing interval (monthly, or yearly with 2 months free),
- one event tier and monthly event quota, shared by all your websites,
- your AI credits,
- one Polar subscription.
Agencies add every client's site to their workspace and invite each client with the client role, so they see only their own sites. White-label share links and branded PDF reports are on Growth.
The free trial
When you sign up, your workspace gets the 14-day Growth trial, no card required. When it ends, pick a plan to keep your dashboards open; we keep collecting data meanwhile.
More websites
Add websites from Sites in the same workspace. You can't create a second workspace or a second account: if you need more than 30 websites, email support@realific.app.
Changing plan, card or invoices
Settings → Billing → Manage billing opens the Polar customer portal, where you can:
- update your card,
- download invoices,
- switch plan or event tier,
- cancel.
Your organisation is one Polar customer, so the portal lists the subscription of every workspace. Changing a workspace's plan from Settings → Billing in that workspace works too: it switches that workspace's subscription and Polar invoices the difference.
Over your event limit
Each workspace's events are counted against its own tier. Over the limit, everything keeps working for 7 days; then that workspace's dashboard locks until you move it up a tier. We keep collecting its data for 30 days, then tracking pauses. See What happens if I go over my plan?.
Workspaces from before per-workspace pricing
If your organisation already had more than one workspace and a paid plan before pricing became per workspace, the extra workspaces keep working on your existing subscription (Billing shows Shared subscription). Each gets the full event quota and AI credits of that plan. Choosing a plan in one of them gives it a subscription of its own. If the shared subscription is cancelled, the workspaces on it end together.
API
| Endpoint | What it does |
|---|---|
GET /app/workspaces/{wsId} | The workspace with its plan, status, lock reason, usage and limits |
GET /app/workspaces/{wsId}/billing | Plan, tier, trial, usage, AI credits and invoices for one workspace |
POST /app/workspaces/{wsId}/billing/checkout | Polar checkout for that workspace (or a plan switch if it already pays) |
POST /app/workspaces/{wsId}/billing/portal | A Polar customer portal URL |
A request for a site in a workspace without a live plan answers 402 payment_required with details.reason: "subscription_required" and details.lock set to no_plan, trial_ended or subscription_ended. Over the limit past the grace days, the reason is over_quota.
