Google Analytics import

Bring your GA4 history into Realific so charts start before you installed it.

Switching from Google Analytics? Import your GA4 daily history and your dashboard, sources, pages, countries and devices reach back up to 26 months.

Connect

  1. Open Settings → Integrations → Google Analytics and click Connect.
  2. Sign in with a Google account that can view the GA4 property, and allow read-only access to Google Analytics.
  3. Back in Realific, pick the GA4 property and how far back to go, then click Import history.

The import runs in the background, one month at a time. You can leave the page; imported days appear as each month finishes.

What's imported

For every day: visitors (GA4 total users), pageviews, sessions, bounce rate and session duration, overall and by channel, source, page, country, device, browser and campaign. GA4 values are mapped onto Realific's: "Organic Search" becomes organic_search, (direct) becomes direct, and so on.

Not imported: revenue (connect your payment provider and import past payments instead), goals, funnels, individual visitors and sessions.

No double counting

Realific imports up to the day before its first event for the site. From then on, only Realific's own data is used. Re-running the import replaces the imported days, and Delete imported data removes them all.

Visitors over several days are the sum of GA4's daily users, so a monthly total can read slightly higher than GA4's deduplicated figure.

Requirements

The Google Analytics Data API and Admin API must be enabled for Realific's Google Cloud project, and the account you sign in with needs at least Viewer access to the property.
