What changed

An AI summary at the top of your dashboard of what moved this period, and why.

The What changed card at the top of the dashboard compares the period you're looking at with the period of the same length just before it. It tells you, in a few lines, what moved.

How it works

  1. Realific measures the changes. It compares your totals and your top sources, channels, pages, landing pages, countries, devices and campaigns across both periods. It also looks for days far above or below a normal day. A change only counts when it's bigger than normal variation for that much traffic, so a jump from 3 to 6 visitors doesn't make the list.
  2. AI writes them up. Claude groups related changes into one story (for example, a post on X that sent visitors to your pricing page and lifted revenue). It only uses the measured numbers. Every line is linked to the changes it's based on.
  3. Tap a tag to filter. The tags under each line (for example X (Twitter) +412) filter the dashboard to that source, page or country.

If AI is off or a request fails, a built-in template writes the summary from the same measurements.

Good to know

  • The card is site-wide. Dashboard filters don't change it.
  • It's refreshed every six hours while the period includes today. The wording is rewritten only when something moves noticeably, so reloading the page never costs anything. Use the refresh button to recompute it, at most once every 5 minutes.
  • It's free: the summary doesn't use AI credits.
  • Weekly and monthly email, Slack and Discord reports start with the same summary.

Why did this bar go up?

Click any bar on the main chart, or Why? next to the headline number, to see what drove it:

  • A bar of one day or less is compared with the same day a week earlier, so weekday patterns don't fool you.
  • Anything longer is compared with the window just before it.

You get the values that account for most of the difference, as bars that grow left (down) or right (up), and two sentences explaining it. Each explanation uses one AI credit. Once your credits run out, the template writes it instead.

API

GET /v1/sites/{id}/insights?from=2026-10-01&to=2026-10-31 returns the headline, the lines with the ids of the changes they cite, and the measured changes themselves. POST /v1/sites/{id}/explain explains a window. See the API reference.
